Interior design has been running through my veins for as long as I can remember. As a child, I would spend hours poring over house plan magazines and drawing floor plans on graph paper. I loved helping my mom decorate our home, tagging along on furniture-shopping trips, and eventually drawing floor plans for the home my parents dreamed of building someday.

But what I remember most about our home wasn’t simply how it looked—it was how it felt.

My mom loved welcoming people in. Sometimes that meant one person sitting down for a cup of coffee and a long conversation; other times, it meant a house full of people gathered for a party with festive food, games, and music. She showed me that a home can be so much more than a beautiful place. It can be a gathering place—a place where family and friends feel welcomed, cared for, and nurtured.

That idea has stayed with me throughout my life.

I married my best friend, and God blessed us with five amazing children. (I know, that’s what everyone says—but seriously!) Together, we have walked through many joys and trials, and my family has taught me more than I could ever put into words. They loved and encouraged me as I returned to college to finish my interior design degree, and they were there cheering me on when I graduated.

For me, interior design has never been simply about creating beautiful rooms. It is about creating thoughtful spaces that support the way people live, bring a sense of joy and rest, and make home feel like a place you truly want to be.

I created Home & Haven Designs out of a lifelong love for inviting homes and a genuine desire to serve others. My hope is to help my clients create homes that feel personal, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed - places that function beautifully for everyday life and provide a meaningful backdrop for the people and moments that matter most.
